Lollipop Update | Xolo One receives Lollipop 5.0

Xolo One users, good news on your way! Xolo launched Android Lollipop 5.0 update over OTA today for its device Xolo One. The update is rolled out over OTA and also available through their official website, link is down below.

Xolo launched Xolo One last year in October and priced at Rs.6,599/- to compete with Motorola's Moto E. Despite priced less than Moto E, this phone has not withstand the competition with the later and thus is been average on sales bar.

Xolo One, as name says is a part of Android One project from Google which focuses on delivering pure android feel on low end devices and also gives away all mainframe Google products on these devices. You can read more about Android One series in the link given below.

Xolo One will receive OTA update on their devices since today and the process, of receiving update, might be slow. And for those who do not want to wait for the OTA update to get, they can always download the update file ( update.zip ) directly from Xolo website or from the link given below.

OTA Update Instructions :

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on About Phone. (scroll down to get there)
3. Tap Update option.
4. Your phone will now scan for the OTA update. If it is available for your device then it will show a download button.
5. Click on Download to begin downloading of available update.
6. Tap Install to being installation of downloaded update.

Direct Download Instructions :

1. Download the file (file name : update.zip)  from the link given below. (Note : Do not unzip the file.)
2. Copy downloaded file (make sure file name is update.zip) and paste it onto your phone memory.
3. Now, launch  Xolo Care app.
4. In update tab , click on 'Check for Software Update'.
5. Click 'Check for Updates'.
6. Now, a pop up will appear to select the update.zip file. Make sure it is the same file you downloaded and click Continue.
7. Now you phone will reboot and install Android Lollipop 5.0 in 8-10 min. Cheers!!!
