Its been in the news for a while that Motorola will push Android Lollipop 5.0 update to its smartphones before anyone else, even before Nexus devices. And the Good news is that they have succeeded in pushing the Lollipop update to their Moto G devices. Motorola has bought the New Year's gift for their Moto G users and for all other users also very soon.
Motorola rolled out new update to there Moto G phones. Customers having Moto G phones from 2013 and 2014 will receive this update soon.
The update provided over OTA is Android Lollipop 5.0.2 which has many bug fixes made available by Google last month.
Currently only few have received this update, but as said by Motorola, this OTA will take time and within a week or two everyone having Moto G will get this update. So be patient.
How to check for update :
- Go to Settings.
- Click on About Phone. (scroll down to get there)
- Tap Update option.
- Your phone will now scan for the OTA update. If it is available for your device then it will show a download button.
- Click on Download to begin downloading of available update.
- Tap Install to being installation of downloaded update.
