As said in previous posts, Google is updating all of its apps for the Material Design support required for Android Lollipop 5.0. Today, November 6, Google added Maps to the Material Design family. The announcement is done on 'Goolge Lat Long : Google Maps : Your Best Accessory This Season', Google Maps official blog.
The new update comes with a new logo, as we saw in the rumors. The new update doesn't only include material design support for good looks and vivid experience but also some new vital changes that will definitely catch your attention. This new update will make travelling more easier than before with the Google Maps, claims Google.

The new update allows you to get directions for the desired location very easily. The new update provides similar experience that of the Web Maps, providing a much clear UI for choosing different driving options on the screen.
